Londinium
London lived up to its reputation for "intriguing" weather yesterday. I arrived in the city at lunchtime, at which point it was warm and clear. I stepped out of the Victoria and Albert Musuem a couple of hours later into a wild and freezing storm, ran down the street with my umbrella turned inside out, heading for shelter. Walking back to my hotel after a coffee the glare of the sunshine off the wet pavement was almost unbearable. By the time I kicked off my boots and made a cup of tea a fine drizzle had settled in. As they say, if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes.
