New Year On The Hill. Again.

Spent New Year up at Belli... as usual.

We've all been New Yearing there for around a decade, but this time around it was a more sedate affair due to all of us having little people. Here's a few pics of the trip.

What spice was lacking this year was compensated for by a would-be cyclone hovering off the coast and heading right in our direction. The day before we left we heard news that the bottom of the road heading out (the only road heading out) had water over it and that the bridge further on had a torrent rushing only about a foot below it. We'd come prepared with ample supplies for being cut off for a while, so weren't too concerned, but eventually decided to make the dash for home this morning. Even in a huge, spacious pole house with big views cabin fever creeps up on you eventually.
